David Carreiro founded CEU after working for many years building IT infrastructures for Fortune 500 companies. David has had a lifelong passion for IT (he built his first PC at age 12!) and channeled that passion into a successful career.

While David has always been committed to helping businesses solve their most crucial IT problems, his commitment was cemented in the IT aftermath of the September 11th attacks. David was working at Putnam Investments in Boston at the time. Instead of evacuating David volunteered to be part of Putnam’s disaster recovery team, working to support the trading desks and help the company to return to business as usual.

9/11 was the first time the United States experienced such a disaster and many companies, including David’s, were not adequately prepared to respond. The disaster recovery team worked on repairing all devices and software needed so that their traders could work remotely, all while closely monitoring the news to monitor the evolving situation. In the end, David joined the disaster recovery team moving forward and learned invaluable lessons about helping companies recover from any IT disaster, big or small.

After working with top companies like Putnam Investments, David saw an opportunity to bring the same world-class infrastructure, services and support to small and mid-sized business, all while offering a personal touch and staying budget-friendly. His mission is to ensure that every company is able to access the same IT services as large businesses.
